Hey Andy, speaking of trips: what was your favorite trip this past hoops season?
In terms of scenery and location I wish I could have stayed longer in Oregon. If I had a full day in Eugene I would have gone to the coast lol. It wasnât cold when I went and all the trees were shades of red, orange and yellow. Walking around campus was chill too since it was during Thanksgiving week.
The best game atmosphere was definitely Memphis.
sampson noted we will play 4 games in australia its already scheduledâŠ
he doesnt know if it will be streamed, said to ask conrad lolâŠ
I hope they coordinate the trip with the Alumni Association. What better than to go to Australia and see the Coogs.

Kelvin Sampson said the cities they will be visiting Sydney, Melbourne & Cairns.
I guarantee there is someone coordinating this trip that is doing the teams arrangements and selling packages to fans, most likely through the Alumni association.
Tom Penders approves of this trip.

Are the Bucks going to Australia? Hell no!
I was in Australia a number of years ago on business. Longest flight ever.
We went a few years ago 17.5 hours non stop. Ive been on long flights but that was the longest
Itâs easy just sleep, watch a lot of movies
Thereâs enough time to get drunk and sober twice!
Bloody Maryâs the entire way.
Air New Zealand was named the worldâs best airline according to AirlineRatings.com.
Air New Zealand flies from IAH to SYD. The round trip flights during the dates UH is reported to leave for its Australian trip, August 4th-15th, are around $2,000+ for economy class, $11,000 business class. Also, these prices do not include visits to Melbourne and Cairns, which is part of the UH tour. Economy class in a trip that long is brutal and business class is too expensive for most people.
I will be curious to see the package the AA puts together for this.
I visited Australia a few years back. It was wonderful. Donât think Iâll be going this summer.
Saw on CNN that Air New Zealand will be weighing international passengers departing from Auckland. Does not affect the UH trip but since I posted about ANZ, I thought I would post.
Can the airlines industry do any more to annoy passengers?
I am sure the women passengers will love that. Back in the early 70âs the airlines used 130 pounds for women and 180 pounds for men. Since then, people have significantly increased in size and weight so I am sure they are trying to come up with a new average for passengers.
When loading an airplane, the station agents need to know the weight of baggage, freight, fuel, and passengers. They have landing maximums at the destination airport and takeoff weights at departing airport for each type of plane. The station agent has to get the weather reports for both airports and figure the numbers and attach flight manifest with two runs of the numbers from the calculator. With each degree colder the weight is increased and each warmer it decreases. Of course airport elevation is taken into account as well.
Thatâs how I remember it when I was a station agent for Texas International in Baton Rouge when I first got out of the Navy. I worked the evening shift Wednesday through Sunday, went to LSU 12 hours a week, and did drafting for Industrial Drafting Services. I also managed the apartment complex I lived in for free rent and free use of the laundry facilities. I didnât want my wife to work because I didnât want anyone to say she put me through college.
It will be winter there correct?
lol no way
