New NIL deal for UH football

I’m inherently pessimistic about our football program but I do believe in the next 5 years the city of Houston and all it’s money will see our potential and NIL will no longer be an issue, it might be a strength. If we expand to 60k and fill it up consistently imagine the economic benefit to the city.

It’s all about branding your company. Once you sign up the companies that are UH supporters, the real work begins with recruiting companies that have to be shown that entering the NIL game improves their brand. Linking Coogs’ job is made a lot easier if the football team wins. When you’re in the C suites, emotion is out the window and it’s all about improving brand imaging and making financial sense for the company. Tax deductions are a secondary benefit and there are other great causes that have tax deductions.

When naming rights were purchased by TDECU a collective “huh?” went around the fans and the city. These rights have greatly increased the brand of the oddly named credit union.
