I simply stated what I was getting for those that are in charge to take into account when refining the new design. Thus adding one more brief data point to the forum of information. In general a good development team will use feedback from multiple sources to see what is working and what is not. A good team (which most are not) can then improve which aspects are needed to make the final design the most effective.
For example, I noted that the phone works well for me, but the desktop looks simple. That might imply to the team to not adjust the mobile format, but add the borders that some here have suggested to make the desktop better. Borders on desktop but not on mobile - see, a way to improve it.
Of course, comments like “It’s like Apple just hired a Kodak retiree to upgrade their iPhone camera.” and “We sent the New Horizons mission to Pluto and took pictures. We sent the Parker Solar Probe to the sun and are taking pictures. Can’t we have a format that works well on smart phones and laptops?” - only serve as complaints generally to make the poster feel better without providing any substance on the new format. Oh wait, those were your only two contributions to the thread…
Yeah. That would be my only negative feedback is I can’t select dark mode in the Interface section of my preferences menu.
This is apparently a form factored web based website. Not sure what the level of effort, licensing and hosting fee would cost to make this a mobile native app that we could download through the App Store. I’m sure someone from the dev side of the team could drum something up through python or mobiloud.
Or you host it through something like Tapatalk where the cost is minimal and you get the native app experience.
I’m sure if everyone reached in between their couch cushions and donated a few bucks this would be pretty easy to achieve.
