Its probably too late but

I do not live in Houston and have not for a long time. I liked the downtown blue lights pictures. Is the Houston blue celebration associated with an “official” UH Houston day?
Blue uniform? The customer is always right. Have it on a game but not on Senior day. We make it yearly? Then we ought to stay with a classic home combo and an away home combo. New threads on coogfans uniforms is a yearly occurrence as if the UH athletic department can’t make up their mind.
The blue uniform is an example that marketing ideas can/does and will work. For a program like U of H we need to be as inventive as possible to bring people into our stadiums. This is a subject that I have written about for years. This blue promotion did not start with our current A.D. I believe. It is time that our leaders take a clue of why this promotion work. We gotta think out of the box. We do not have a choice.

I believe UH has been constrained financially from
devoting resources to Marketing, a symptom of being a G5 for so long. With P4 money coming in, I expect UH to improve in a number of areas, including Marketing and ticket administration.

My only concern is UH fans were echoing the same concerns when they were in the SWC. In addition to money, UH has to hire the right people who can do more with less.

I also am not a fan of the script. Too many different fonts being used. Plus, I thought kids today can’t write cursive nor read it!

They did a great job promoting the blue this game. I got an email, ordered my shirts and they showed up at my house on time and ready to go. It’s been a tough year but I can see the effort being put out on all fronts. Basketball will help and Willie will get us going. Just keep going and watching, it’ll pay off. Be positive.

Or we could win on a somewhat consistent basis…that might do the trick.

The blue uniforms aren’t the cause of the larger crowd, the opponent was. However, when a 40K stadium doesn’t result in 40K fans in the stands, it adds to an already disadvantaged financial standing relative to most of our B12 rivals that have bigger stadiums, reliable fanbase that show up every game, and more donors.

Last year and this year, we have not gotten a full share of B12 money. I think we start receiving full share for the 2024-2025 season which will help, but with a less engaged fanbase and lower donor levels and NIL bags, we will always struggle to keep up.

However, Bill Yeoman proved that a team at a huge financial disadvantage can still produce conference champions and national contenders.

This has been a major problem since the mid 70’s. I remember seeing a video on coogans from the early 70’s mabe even 60’s and it was a fantastic piece.
I will write it for the 1,000th times. Having the king of hospitality in Fertitta, the Hilton hotel management school, the Bauer Business school and we can’t come up with a real strategy? There is no excuse for that, none but look at the “blue” game. Yes when there is a will there is a way. Anybody listening?

Blue unis have some of y’all feeling…

Wait for it…

Blue.

The color that mostly represents the City of Houston is dried concrete . . . . .

I’m okay with the script, but the end zones should not have both words. I’m also okay with the Oiler blue, but for one game a year.

What I remember about the blue uniforms is the Oilers couldn’t beat the Steelers. That’s about it

SO TRUE!!!

We got the offense, we got the defense. Bum said it, I believe it! Kick that son of a xxxxx in!

NEVER Happened

When I think of those uniforms I see Old ass Buddy Ryan going after Gilbride on the sidelines. The Oilers sucked but they were entertaining. We sucked in those uniforms and weren’t entertaining.
