How good will womens hoops be?

Blair was back but the Tech transfer is now out. So still just seven scholarship players. I feel badly for the players because they played hard. But man the inside game is brutal - and the coach is dead man walking. He didn’t even bother calling timeouts or fouling when his team was trying to come back in the fourth quarter.

And it’s not like Rice was at full strength either. Their best player didn’t play and they were missing another starter as well.

I did not realize that about Rice. Makes the loss even worse.

The team lost to Rice by double digits tonight to drop to 0-3. They next play Houston Christian on Sunday to try and avoid being the worst women’s college team in the city. Is it too late to schedule Texas Southern or D3 Univ of St Thomas?

Blair and #3 looked solid.

Man, the AD needs to pull the trigger now and fire the HC. This is very embarrassing.

Everyone go support our Lady Coogs :paw_prints::paw_prints::paw_prints:

He’s a good guy. He’s trying. It’s just not working out. He might go and be an assistant for a really good coach and come back and become a great coach. It’s just time for a change.

This guy is a joke.

When he is openly not trying to win a game what does that tell the players!?

Get this guy outta there now….he has 7 scholarship players? Dude has golden tickets in his hands that give players a free education if you play basketball….nobody wants to play for this guy and why would they.

Yep I wonder if women’s hoops will win a conference game this year.
Amazing how long our administration has tolerated this level of play. And go ahead and add baseball and softball to that list as many of us have for years

I am hoping the new AD shows some balls and cuts each of them loose at the end of their seasons.

You want the new AD to cut each one of his own balls loose?? I hope it doesn’t come to that. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Jk, I know what you meant and I agree.

Still not sure if it was mis-placed loyalty or finances, but whether fair or not, I will always blame Pez with letting women’s basketball, women’s softball, and baseball getting to the state they are.
I love the perceived secondary sports and it has been rough watching their downfall.

FWIW, women pick up win number two against Alcorn State, 73-48.

Lost to UNT at home, 69-53.
Love and Blair had 37 of our 53 points.
We played eight people.
We only had three assists?
Outrebounded by 12.
We shot 30%. They shot 56%.

We didn’t lose to UConn at their place. This is painful…

UH football just got rid of the OC with less than a full season under his belt here. TAKE NOTES, WOMEN’S SPORTS!

He’s a good guy, not a good head coach.
