Houston vs North Texas Pre-Game Thread

On this note, is it playcalling or is it the QB.

On the graph…where is the dropped pass from Corbin in the endzone?

I think we should see how many plays they attempted down the middle. All that space tells me no plays were called where receivers went down the middle or crossed in between. I think at that point its DH and not King. Most are for 20 yards or less. I’d like to see how we compares to last year.

Really odd because last year Dana torched a lot of teams with seam routes straight down the field.

I love Grant who plays so hard every play. His expression though looks like someone who is really bothered.

Sorry if it wasn’t clear. 2nd spray chart posted was 1st 3 games last year. I edited to note that.

He’s a true junior and it doesn’t seem like he’s worried about redshirting. I agree with you and I can see why he’d be upset.

Probably the pink one on the right which is 12 yards out. I am assuming it counts the end zone yards the same so that one traveled 12 yards past the LOS.

Staff: Make a hype video for Saturday.

Video Guy: OK

Staff: No King.

Video Guy: Challenge Accepted.

Yikes, Elijah Golden our for the season due to injury…LB Corp getting extremely thin.

That should give people a lot of excuses.

There were a lot of folks wanting DoritoWhite back because of injuries.

Just for a point of clarification, our offense is no longer an air raid. Mike Leach runs an air raid offense. Dana is just running a version of the spread with over 50% running plays. Leach runs around 5 % of the time and relies almost solely of the pass. Not that it matters but I hope Dana gets back to more of a passing game with Tune as QB. Although he has some athleticism he doesn’t have near the scrambling ability of King. I’m afraid if he sits in the pocket too long he’s gonna get sacked like he did last year. That means he needs plenty of short to intermediate passes and timing routes.

Tune = 500 yds passing against UNT.

Seems like you made a good case for handing off to Porter or Carr.

:green_heart: Methinks the last team who scores wins this game.

The potential for 1,000 combined yards by both offenses exists, IMHO.

Have a safe trip up.

Tune was utterly bum rushed last season. Our Oline collapsed like a wet paper plate. And Army’s undersized line went through like a hot knife through butter.

I was actually talking about that with my buddy the other day. Our offensive line is probably the tallest across-the-board that has ever been. I don’t know how much that has played a role in things but he has seemed to hold onto the ball longer, been off on more passes, and sacked more than he has in all of last year.

If he’s having trouble seeing that maybe throwing everything off. Tune has several more inches on him, so it will be interesting to see if there is any difference.
