Houston Astros 2023 Season on a daily roll

Framber didn’t have his spin last night. It was obvious. Two long balls, about five deep balls, about six balls hit on a rope. Some were right at people but several grounders were hit like rifles. But Dusty knows better. Maybe saving Maton for the fourth game of the Rangers series.

Hate playing with the roof open. Always brings bad luck.

I can’t stand that the league can decide whether you open or close your own roof.

I understand and an agree the league should not be allowed to dictate whether it’s opened or closed.

Having said that, we should be able to play in a parking lot and win.

Sure. But they are used to and prefer the conditions that they play in indoor Minute Maid, for the majority of the year and I think that matters a bit. The league made that decision an hour or two beforehand.

Someone should have pulled the fuse.

“Sorry folks - roof’s closed and it won’t open.”

What were the consequences if Crane refused to open the roof?

One of the local TV newscasts reported that it’s the Astros choice up until the World Series, and then it’s MLB’s call.

Interesting timing…

First, we all know the Braves and Dodgers are going down. Its an underdog year. But one team usually skirts through in an underdog year. Lets hope its us.

You know why Dana cut those two. I guarantee you from day one Brown has heard how good Lunhow and Click were. Probably maddening for him. So he cut their last tethers to the franchise.

If Crane is moving away from analytics its because he doesn’t think the people there can do it. I don’t think Brown is safe. I think he was told he’s not moving fast enough. So he moved.

Btw- if we’re gonna win this series we need either Bregman or Tucker to get hot. And we need diamantes from Christian.

Dodgers are likely going down but I’m afraid the Phillies might have let the Braves off the hook tonight. Series was likely wraps if they won today, now the Braves have the momentum. Phillies better not let it get back to ATL.

Told yall

DBacks up 2-0

I could be wrong but I don’t think Goodrum was from Luhnow’s tenure. I’m not sure about Firkus.

How are y’all feeling about the Astros tomorrow?

We’ve been road warriors all season, don’t see any reason why that should stop now. Stros in 4. Would like to see a crooked number in the first.

Bet on the Astros when it seems the momentum and the moment favor the other team.

Bet on the other team when it seems like is is fair sailing for the Astros.

Twins have momentum and a favorable pitching matchup and they are home with crazy fans and cool weather…bet the Astros.

It seems the 'Stros always do what I don’t expect them to do…so, since I have some doubts about the next two games, I guess that means they’ll beat the Twins twice. :grinning: :grinning:

A lot of front office personnel contracts expire on October 1st. Has nothing to do with timing.

The information was released well after October 1st, so either their contracts did not expire October 1st, or a decision was made to delay the timing of those announcements. Do you know their specific contract terms? I certainly don’t.

Again, you seem to want to try to infer something I’ve said solely so that you can argue about it. I didn’t imply anything nefarious. You may disagree that the timing is “interesting,” and that’s fine, but disagreeing that “timing” is involved in either the decisions or the announcements is just odd.

Not good.

I think we lose Tuesday.( bats won’t show up against Gray)

IMO we will have to win Wednesday……if we do that I think we have a good shot with JV on Friday.

Honestly, I don’t get the same feeling with the team this year……and with Dusty off his rocker this year I don’t trust him to make the right calls in a close game.
