We got Longwood comin out of the woodwork
I have to say Iâm pretty surprised that we currently have the 2nd best odds to win it behind only UConn. Until I hear that JâWan is at least 90%, my confidence is not as strong as normal. Weâre so thin that we have very little margin for error. That said, I have picked UH to win in my bracket. I canât bring myself to pick against them and I think Shead is the type of leader who wonât let us lose.
Sampson said Roberts is playing but didnât give a percentage. Iâm worried about the games that are quick turnaround. Thats when our lack of depth and tired legs will show.
I think our season is making us look better on paper than our current lineup indicates. Still i trust the statting 5 to get some wins
Yeah, I donât think Roberts would sit out completely unless his leg was broken in half. But playing and playing well are two different things. I tend to agree with you about lack of depth and tired legs. We do have some teams in our bracket who like to play fast, but probably donât have to worry about any of them until the Elite 8 (looking at you, Kentucky) unless James Madison upsets Duke.
Which would be a problem because of only a dayâs rest in between the games in Dallas and our lack of depth.
I am going to see how well Roberts plays. If he is good I can see Sweet 16, maybe Elite 8.
Of course winning a title would be a dream come true but after that loss to Iowa State I think it look a lot out of this team.
Bright side we still have Sampson and a great regular season to give us hope. That was no fluke!
Best case scenario for Friday is to build a big lead and only play the starters for 20 minutes the entire game. If Longwood comes out loose as a goose and starts bombing threes, all the resting of starters goes out the window.
im not looking that far forward - we have to beat Longwood.
but when would the next game be? Sunday I assume?
Yes. Friday winners play Sunday. Thursday winners play Saturday
Saw video from Duarte of Walker shooting free throws then limping away, doesnât look like he is anywhere near ready donât expect him back

Ramon Walker Jr, getting shots up in practice
Well Walker made his free throws so thatâs good. Not real convinced on that actually moving though.
CKS on playing in Memphis. Probably just me but I detect a subtle dig CKS throws at Memphis.

Oh but winning the B12 tournament is so very important.
Knowing our âsituationâ this is why I was willing to take an L vs Tech with just a walk through. So what if it meant a 2 seed. Our health and need for being refreshed for the dance is/was what was most important.
We had been up for a string of games starting with Baylor, and it is only natural for not only a let down but to also hit a wall even had Walker and Tugler been healthy that would likely have happened.
But now weâve pushed ourselves to a point that we can only hope that the solid 1 week rest and a hopeful walk through vs everybodyâs favorite euphemism will allow us to be back on top and with our 2nd wind for Sunday. Need to blow Lwood out in the first half and walk through the 2nd half.
We are going to be fine.
Ramon Walker update.
Returned to the court Monday.
Maybe available Sweet 16/Elite 8? But im doubtful of that.
Honestly, even in limited minutes it would be huge.
Shead, not Sampson
Yes sir!
I am not feeling nearly as Debbie downer as some folks here. We beat the breaks off of tcu and tech playing with limited people in back to back games. It is the third game when we were off everywhere. Good news is we wonât play 3 in a row again. We play 2 over 3 days. This team is good. These players are amazing. Our coach is superb. This is going to be fun!
