Who?

I’ll take the blame for the late tip. I’m on the west coast and not getting off until 6:00 pst, so I asked the committee if we could have the night cap. Lol

As an old guy, I can say that the name Longwood evokes a certain nostalgia…

I think we are screwed. Longwood has a seven footer.

If I have said it once I have said it a million times, while old man Sampson sleeps, Longwood is cruitin and recruitin.

Hey they do have five senior starters are we concerned about that?

We are really going to have to rebound the ball well on Friday when Lath comes in. We are tied at 10th in the country with Longwood in Offensive rebound percentage. And funnily enough we have the exact same amount of offensive rebounds this season.

When I rolled over this morning, my wife exclaimed “I didn’t think we played Longwood until Friday night” <\rimshot>

If Roberts can’t play and the team shoots 26.8% FG and 18.2% 3 pts, then yes, I could very easily see Longwood winning. That is not likely, but certainly a possibility.

Let the Iowa St. game serve as a wake-up call to get UH’s mindset back to its culture and winning basketball.

I’m not super concerned about Longwood, if we’re healthy enough and take them seriously we should dispatch them without much issue.

I would however take the points if you can get -24.5 still that’s a huge spread. And if we get out that big I expect to see a lot of rest and allowing them to get them back in and cover.

I’m expecting a 20+ point win.

This is like the year we played Cleveland State in the first round. The gap in talent and athleticism will be too great for this game to be close.

I lived and worked in VA for several years, so I knew about Longwood before this. It’s one of their lesser known publics like Radford, Christopher Newport, Mary Washington, etc.

Longwood has what it takes to go deep in this tournament.
When it comes to the work, Longwood really puts it in.
Longwood always covers the spread.
Watch out, Longwood likes to sneak it in the 3 hole when you aren’t prepared for it. A lot of these end up as rim shots though.
Conversely, Longwood does a lot of backdoor plays.
Longwood likes to play man-to-man.
Longwood always gives their best shot.
Its the tournament, Longwood is really going to lay it all out.
Longwood has a thunderous dunker that gives facials every game.
Longwood doesn’t have the best endurance so their best players may have to sub out when they need a blow.
Our defense may not be used to how much Longwood likes to be double-teamed.
