Fritz says staff may need to simplify the playbook

Belk disappeared the freakin playbook!

The QB we need is not on campus.

The OL is inexperienced and probably below average with experience.

The wideouts can’t get separation or make plays.

That is not a recipe for success.

Donovan Smith is 9-17 as a starting QB with a couple of teams and multiple coaches over 4 years
just saying
some guys have it at that position and they are a force multiplier and some guys don’t .

Which do you think Donovan is?

Also we have had, over the last 4 years, QB recruits that signed with great adulation from Coogfans who didn’t stay and ended up nowhere. Maybe in our recent past we have had problems evaluating the position on the recruiting front,

Said this in the game thread. I knew it! :joy::joy::joy:

Barbay probably uses 300 words to describe one play. He needs to hand out wristbands with single emojis to describe plays. I don’t care how but he needs to make it easy for them to understand their assignment. Ad nauseam it is on Barbay!

Guys have been running open for weeks. They can get separation.

We got Austin Carlisle coming in next year. From what I have seen from our current crop of QBs he should be the starter the first day he gets to campus. In fact somebody from UH should check if that kid has enough credits to graduate in December and get him playing spring ball in 2025.

Only thing is why does it take this long to decide the plays are too complicated?

I honestly think if we had the wrs we had last yr we’d have won 2 or 3 more games. Any kind of offense and we beat OU for ex. Smith has been off target but wrs getting separation would help.

I knew it. The offense was too sophisticated.

If this is true, we have bigger issues. The players have not bought in.
