When it’s that cold, I think the moisture in the air is frozen. Right now the high for the 23rd is forecast to be 27°F (-2.78°C). I will layer up, wear my insulated boots, and my hooded UH heavy coat, plus a ski mask. My only worry is leaving my charming bride at home during a hard freeze in Katy. If something happened while I was gone she wouldn’t know what to do.

She won’t go, it’s Christmas and “time for family things.” Heck, she isn’t too thrilled that I’m going by myself, she says I’m too old to be driving alone, especially since I’ve already had a couple of heart attacks. She’s entitled to her opinion, it just doesn’t happen to coincide with mine. Oh well.

I’m being told to stay home. There isn’t any rain in the forecast Wed-Sat.
As of right now, there’s a 40% chance of rain on Thursday, but Friday is clear and sunny. But that can change, Louisiana is like Texas in that regard.
BTW, I will be better prepared for the cold for this game than I was for the Cotton (Ice) Bowl.

This is a complete homer take but I think Tune and Dell are ready to explode for their last game as a UH Cougar. Seeing them weather the ups and downs of the season and still perform at a high level has cemented their legacy in UH history.
A great bowl win would be the cherry on top of their college career.
