Duarte: New OC expected to be announced tomorrow

You gotta be trolling.

Why would Dana want to come back here? UH fired him. Why would he come back to the place that fired him to be demoted to OC? With a fanbase that that was not happy with him? With Tillman saying “ We now have an adult in the room in Fritz”? Especially when he is the same position of OC at Nebraska?

Two buyouts are better than one! Lol

If I was trolling I would have included a package deal of Dana Holgorsen at OC and Kim Helton as OL coach.

Not even sure it’d be trolling; they were both excellent at those positions.

Oh for sure.

I just meant from a scheme standpoint….but sure he could mix it up and be obvious about what play they were going to run.

I’m sure Coach Bell is going to do his best to change things up that are within the current offensive parameters.

Maybe I missed it but I can’t believe no one has mentioned senior or baby Briles yet.

Don’t give them any ideas

I wonder if we are one of the schools interested in this OC? Also would be too funny if Sumrall left for UNC

Tulane has a good season and their first year coach could potentially get poached to a P4 team.

North Texas is #4 in passing and #73 in rushing. Doesn’t sound like the kind of offense Fritz would want. Memphis is more balanced and they’re in the top 25 in offense and scoring. Fritz might also want to hire former USM head coach Will Hall, who was his OC in ‘19 and ‘20. Tulane was #11 in rushing offense in ‘19, #17 in ‘20.

You guys need to start putting names in here that mesh with Fritz’s run first philosophy

He’s not changing

Huh? Tulane runs the ball 63% of the time. UNLV has to be up there too. I don’t know UNT’s offense

UNT is heavy pass is what I’m getting at
I think CWF is open to being more creative on the O which should help with both recruiting & candidate pool

Hopefully it’s not Will Hall

Yeah I see what you mean. He said on the call he wanted balance but wants to control the ball so I’d be shocked if he went to some pass oriented offense too

Dana’s Nebraska offense controlled the TOP today, almost 40 minutes of possession. About 60% run, 40% pass. Right up Fritz’s alley.

The icing on the cake was Nebraska offense scored a field goal AND a touchdown! I’m sold. You had me at “offensive touchdown”.

Call Dana up! Please let us know what he says.

IMO Fritz already knows who he wants and he’s waiting for the season’s end.

I called but couldn’t really hear him, he’s at a pretty noisy bar. He said he’ll call back when he wakes up tomorrow… afternoon.

Who is your best guess?

I have no idea- but my guess Fritz is keeping mum about it until the ink dries on the contract
