CWF’s coaching staff

Hope they keep Shorts too.

Not necessarily

Don’t try so hard to be dense. He left for an opportunity to coach at a better school and conference. It’s the same move Fritz is making.

He left to coach for Dana.

And?

He left for more money, resources, and an additional title in a Power 5 conference, which is LITERALLY the same thing Willie Fritz is doing. Why would he hold that against him?

Naghavi has a family to support and a career to develop. He’s not rich. I’m guessing Fritz wished him well when he left and understood the move.

Perhaps Tulane lacked the resources to retain him.

Of course they lacked the resources.

I don’t know. I just don’t assume Fritz is going to keep him. I would say our OL play didn’t improve with him?

Geez Russ, I try so hard to like ya, be cordial but at this point WTH. You put everyone on this forum and the other down and make everyone seem like their below you. You coach or whatever, but that doesn’t make you GOD.

Because Dana wouldn’t give him more control over OL personnel or blocking schemes. Was a big source of frustration for Naghavi, not what was communicated to him before he came over, and there is a decent chance he would have moved on had Dana been retained.

Hence my comment, Naghavi quit on Fritz to go to work for Dana (of all people)

Is this the first time you have ever followed college football coaching moves? This literally happens every offseason, people get bigger and better jobs and leave, and their previous coach doesn’t disown them.

Yeah “quit” prob not the right choice of words there

I talked to Naghavi. He told me his plan is to be retained and then midseason quit to go wherever Dana ends up. Which right now is looking like the Coyote Ugly in the New York, New York hotel in Las Vegas.

How do you know if they were able to do everything they wanted to do as a coach under Dana?
Do you know if there were things they would have done differently if they were allowed?

Nobody knows what kind of restraints were put on these guys….

Of course most will be gone, but there are a few keepers IMO.

To get the Dana coodies off.

I hear you, but give a couple another thought. Early has sent a DL in the first or second round of the draft practically every year. Shorts has recruited three four-star WRs in two years. I don’t know if Fritz would keep anyone else other than Naghavi, but retaining those two probably will determine if a couple of all-conference players return.
