I plan to be there today. My first trip this year.
Iâm here!
Coach Sampson just asked on his radio show if Javier Francis or Robbie Armbrester will be apart of the rotation this season?
His answer: No
Youâre surprised? Whose minutes would they take?
I was actually surprised the question was asked on the show.
Francis, we knew would sit. Regarding Robbie, Iâve heard Coach answer it already. Some fans still probably think we need another guard in the rotation due to:
Edwards with his ankle issues. Or just giving guys a quick breather during the game. Or if we have foul troubleâŠ
But, no I wasnât surprised by CKS answer
When Coach says the âBag is emptyâ , heâs obviously feels those individuals are not at a point where they can contribute this year.
Neitherâs projected position/role is where we are short handed
What else he said? Thank you.
Did CKS give any update on the Fabian White injury at the radio show? Iâm not seeing a recording posted.
Heâs fine.
Edit: think it was a precaution keeping him out. They had double digit lead when he came out and then WSU scored 9 straight but he still chose to keep him on bench. Fabian was all smiles after the game n the last min or so on the bench.
No update and no one even asked about him at the show
Carlton was a speaker at the show. Posed for pictures too. Nice guy.
The latest episode is up on Spotify. Kyler Edwardâs is this weeks guest speaker
Young people may not be aware of the influence UH had on college basketball.
"The Game of the Century was a historic National Collegiate Athletic
Association (NCAA) game between the Houston Cougars and the UCLA Bruins played
on January 20, 1968, at the Astrodome in Houston, Texas. It was the first NCAA
regular season game broadcast nationwide in prime time. It established college
basketball as a sports commodity on television and paved the way for the modern
âMarch Madnessâ television coverage.

The idea of a college tournament existed but that game showed it meant big money. The rest is history.
Later, UH was influential with Phi Slama Jama. Jamming had been frowned upon before Phi Slama Jama showed it added excitement.
Any time a UH alumnus sees a basketball jammed or watches a March Madness game he/she should recognize how influential UH was.
