No one has written Houston off. They are #1 KenPom for a reason.
But tonight is our night right now. This is a baaaad group of young men. I think Houston is right there too.
You guys look like a machine tonight and have every right to believe will win conference this year.
We all know Jan and Feb any of our teams can be clicking or sliding back some and 4-5 of us fan bases can believe in Big 12 champ and very deep run in tourney.

Lispey played terrible. Jefferson and Momcilovic disappeared in the 2nd half.
Auburn came out in the 2nd half and proved they were the tougher team.
Keshon Gilbert was the best player on the floor and only played 20 mins. Cant happen.

There’s an overreaction. There’s no letting down of anyone. They played hard and at times well. Just didn’t make enough plays down the stretch. Shaky ball handling and a lack of easy buckets cost ISU.
Good team and still the one I have pegged for 2nd best in the conference behind Houston.
Though for them to be be elite Mom has to be more consistent and Lipsey much better than tonight. ISU can’t survive with Gilbert trying to carry the offense.

When we played Auburn without our starting center and TA on a minutes restriction. With Cryer in foul trouble. And not working Mercy in yet.

It was our inability to cover from our trap against a skilled center that beat us down the stretch. Two reasons that won’t happen later in the season.
- Weill use better angle, timing to be better.
2.if we struggle later with our season on the line we will make adjustments.

Everyone should listen to Sampson’s interview from last week regarding fans overacting to losses AND wins. Had ISU won it wouldn’t mean Auburn is suddenly bad, nor will this loss for ISU define their season. Both are good teams and both will get better as the season progresses. Same goes for UH.
