Yep, hate that Rhule is at Baylor, but love that he said that.
I would interpret his statement as a similar empty commitment to Tom Herman when he left Ohio State. He knows that recruiting kids from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida to Baylor doesn’t make any sense so it’s very easy for him to say that he won’t recruit Temple commitments. If he had just been hired at Penn State I seriously doubt he would not try to recruit the best Temple kids.

I guess. He’s gotten them back to not being 1-11, but they haven’t exactly won any games against decent opponents. Baylor still schedules a weak out of conference schedule (UTSA, Rice and SFA this year), beats Kansas and the other bottom teams in the conference to get to 6-6 or 7-5 and go bowling. I think that’s basically Rhule’s ceiling there.
I think if the NFL comes calling, or another P5 school in the B1G or ACC, I think he’s gone.
Agree. And, I’m not sure why I’m supposed to consider him sucking in year 1 when deciding if his record is good. It’s not like the last coach went 1-11. He did. His predecessor (interim Jim Grobe) went 7-6.
I don’t get to go into a new job, bomb for a year, then brag when I suck less the next year and a half.
