I have to agree that Memphis feels like our rival during the last decade. In the Big 12, Baylor and Tech for me.
Our rivalries vs Baylor and StoreBoughtTorrillaTech will grow for sure

Dont hate Kansas but theres something amazing about beating them
Dont hate iowa state at all
Hate Tech but dont consider them a rival
Hate baylor but theyre trash
Dont hate AnM and dont consider rivals
Hate Alabama and Texas but they dont play us enough
Hate memphis but not a rival
I think our future rivals are Kansas and unfortunately Tech. No one else is as close because for us to hate them they have to have trash fans and trash team.

Tech and Baylor obviously, just through Texas schools.
I would love, and I mean love to see the revivalry between UH and Mempiss. I hate them so much, but holy moly do I want to see them on the schedule. Heck, SMU too.

Honestly, UH doesn’t have any true heated rivalries but in the truest sense…Cincinnati is our main Rival.
We’ve been attached to them, at the hip, for three quarters of a century…look how many conferences we’ve been in with them…even more than the old SWC schools!

I would say Alabama as of recent, then UCF.
Memphis is more of a; their fans don’t care for our program.
Honorable mention would be the following state of Texas schools, in no particular order: Texas, TAMU, Tech, Baylor
The state of Texas school games are not “heated,” but each school wants to win against each other, and that includes Houston, it’s fun.
Got no rivals far as I am concerned just interest. Our interest is to dominate regardless of who the opponent is at the time

and they play us hard.
Cincy would be another one. Believe it or not, even though we have won the last 8 games, they still own a 33-16 record against us all time. I’d call that a rivalry of huge swings.

Realignment has killed rivalries. We do not have a basketball rival. We have one or two with teetech when it comes to football.
Historically Arkansas had a good program. They were our main BBall rival. Regional conferences like the SWC or PAC12 made college sports. A football team could lose but our animosity toward the same opponent could be piggy backed into a Basket ball game. College sports has always been about regional rivals.

With Memphis, I feel that it’s more of their fan base looking at us as their main rival moreso now since they feel that we took their place being invited to the B12. Their jealousy oozes from their mouths.
