I’m waiting for the @Joprior23 guarantee.
So we could end up with none of those three. And Flemings has a family friend on the Tech staff, so worst case, we already have our 2025 class.
Our class isn’t finished.
we’re leading on ON3
Are Cenac and Peat mutually exclusive? Or could we in theory end up with both?
Peat can play 4. Cenac can play 5.
I would be surprised. But one doesn’t cancel the other.
Is Clark trying push back on UH here telling him to “be on hold” so to speak and / or force the issue? The way you describe it, it sounds like he’s almost telling all of them (UH, Peat & Cenac) to s…or get off the pot because he’s ready.
The fact that this is even a possibility right now (minus AJ) is enough to get me hyped. Knew I checked this thread every day for a reason
We can probably come up with the 5 million to beat BYU for AJ if we open up a collection on coogfans
I think Texas is telling Clark they’re tired of waiting.
And we have bigger fish to fry right now.
And come on Flemming!
Don’t do it!
Those are getting harder in the day and age of NIL.
Flemings has always been my closest in this class.
Koa Peat Intel
Would hate to lose of Clark if we cant hold peat or Cenac. But i feel Peat and Cenac would be great here.
Wish he put it at least a week out instead of 48 hours. Sheesh.
I guess this will be the first domino to fall. Wouldn’t be surprised to see others commit (wherever) after Friday. If Clark commits here, then LSU is the choice for Cenac and Arizona for Peat. Guys waiting on them will then announce. Should be getting real interesting soon.
If Peat chooses us, we’ll really need McFarland to heal up and develop because he could end up starting next year. I guess Jojo could if he stays. Doubt Lath starts. That or we’ll have to get someone from the portal.
Just to add to the Mom context, Dedan Thomas Jr.'s Mom wanted him to go to UH, but Dad was a legacy at UNLV and Thomas signed with UNLV. Thomas has had a good career at UNLV.
Cenac’s home state school is LSU and Peat’s home state school is Arizona. The easy choice is to go to the home state school, which has more NIL resources than UH. If either picks UH, all the credit goes to Sampson, the coaching staff, and players, for making these players feel like UH is home away from home.
BTW, Do not treat Clark as a consolation prize. He has a very high ceiling.
LSU is behind Houston in basketball NIL. As is Arizona.
This is true, but LSU will break the bank for Cenac. They CANNOT lose him to us
