I think we’ll see Arceneaux in the frontcourt or as a 4th guard some this year. I don’t think it’s just Roberts, Francis and three freshmen in those two spots.
Top 4 is my personal goal for the team. To Oldtimer’s point, I really think the grind of playing top competition every week will absolutely be a factor. Last year’s champion lost 5 games in conference, and a top 15 Baylor/Kansas State team had 7. Less than 10 conference losses, and none at home would be the dream in my mind.
He had taken the next step in becoming a force at the rim against true bigs. Something happened to him down the stretch and into the post season.
Injury or confidence?
From what I know, partly injury
Man… This team is going to be HARD TO GUARD in my opinion… We’re about to RUN!!!
Let’s Freaking Go Coogs!!!
Imagine him 1 on 1 while the other team is trying to guard our 4 perimeter shooters
Call it the Josh Carlton effect.
Big 12 men’s basketball going from 18 to 20 league basketball games next season when the Four Corners join and the league expands to 16 teams. 18 league games for the women.
Yourmark: “Our schedule is being guided by a few key parameters, including geography, competitive balance, historic matchups and rivalries.”
With 16, I believe you can play five teams Home & Home and the other ten once. I’m sure they’ll want to maximize TV appeal with the home and homes. Like Houston and Kansas this year. Barring TV appeal, geography and historical rivalry will probably dictate.
Don’t know what happened towards the end of last because he played nothing like he did in the playoffs the year before.
Maybe fatigue or minor injuries? I know Shead and Sasser weren’t the same down the stretch either with injuries
It was really weird. It’s like he lost all touch around the basket when he was nails in there the year before. I really hope he gets that touch back this year.
Hoping he does because he is a key senior leader
I like the uptick in competitive games this will cause, but I’m also a bit concerned that our young guys every year are not going to get enough non-conference minutes to find their NCAA groove. Ultimately, I think this hurts depth for all teams, but especially those who will be relying on freshman as contributing members. Just a guess.
FYI to everyone, i spoke with the ticket office on single game tickets:
Sounds like there will be none. They dipped into the wait list or other folks.
Feel free to call them and verify, but it appears there will be no single game tickets going on sale. Change from previous years.
It was like a bad case of the yips.
Wow…thats unreal. Does that imply that every game is completely sold out?
Outside of standing room only ticketw that potentially get released, Id say so.
Recommend someone follow up with the ticket office to verify.
Please report back if someone does call.
